CASA was commissioned to write an in-depth screening response for the development of the Technology Innovation Centre and International Technological Renewable Energy Zone in the centre of Glasgow. CASA argued that the application of the development did not need to come under the remit of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Scotland) Regulations 2011 and any application could, instead, be supported by smaller technical studies. Glasgow City Council agreed with this position by issuing a negative screening opinion.
